Resume

In 2008 I started Interactive Design. The study involved Graphic design, Animation, and Web design. After three years of classes and 1-year internship, I finished the study and got my diploma in 2012.

I went to Highschool in Suriname. Because it was a Dutch school based in Suriname, I needed to travel to the Netherlands for my final exam. In July 2007, I got my diploma.

In 2015 I got hired as a freelance graphic designer at a communication agency. You can see it as a hub with different clients and freelance designers. My main task is creating corporate identities, social media ads, printable material, and visual animations for various clients.

In 2014 I decided to work as a Freelance Graphic Designer and work for different clients. I have learned a lot over the years working on various projects for small and large companies. I also went deeper into graphic design and experimented with visual animation.

In november op 2021 I applied for an Individual contract at the UN RCO office in Suriname for the position of Graphic Design Consultant and was accepted for the position.

After six months at The Back Lot, I was approached by a starting entrepreneur to work on visual animation projects. I realized that for my animations to have more impact, I had to understand video. I started to learn more and ended up producing some small TV Programs for local TV.

After finishing my study, I got a job offer from The Backlot and decided to start my Suriname career and gain experience.

After finishing my internship in The Netherlands, I decided to go back to Suriname and see the level of Graphic design. After my final internship, I went back to The Netherlands to finish my study.
